At LO's school, many parents walk LO#1 in and push LO#2 in a snap n go.

DD walked (she was 3) and carried DS in the infant carrier. I wonder if you could snap your the baby carrier into a snap n go and still carry your older one until she's a more confident walker. Even at 19 months now, I still carry DS some days. Since there are some mornings he will try to run away or throw himself on the floor when we get there.

When DS was born DD was 2 1/2 so she walked into daycare by herself while I carried DS in the infant seat. What I've seen others do (if the older LO isn't walking yet) is put the littlest in a stroller and carry the older one.

I don't have more than one LO but I see a lot of other parents at my daycare who do! It seems the most popular option is a snap and go type stroller or carrying the infant seat while the other LO walks.

We didn't have much of a walk (home daycare, so we just parked in the driveway), but when the kids were little I often carried DD and the baby seat. I didn't usually wear DS for that kind of drop off because 1) it was so fast/ quick and 2) once we got into the daycare I had to help DD take off her shoes, put her things in her cubby, etc..., which was difficult to do with a baby strapped to my front.

When we walked to daycare, DD1 would walk, scooter or ride in the stroller. DD2 was usually worn in a Beco Gemini... Sometimes the baby was in the stroller and the older one walked.

I think we were usually in a rush though, so DD1 in a stroller and DD2 in a carrier was the fastest option... Should work for you well too I think! How far do you have to walk... Parking lot to daycare? I hate parking lots but my kids hold hands or stay close well. I carry my 21 month old mostly though or she'll run around.

We have "carline" at DD's preschool :) thank goodness! We just pull up and a teacher gets DD1 and walks her to her classroom. DD2 stays in the car! So easy!

LO will be attending daycare this summer part time when I am on maternity leave. DH will handle most of the drop offs but I will have to take her when he works a certain shift.

We live in the suburbs and drive to daycare. The new baby will be around 6 weeks old when I need to drop off LO (who will be 16 months) in the morning. She is a cautious walker right now and we still carry her into the center...but maybe she will start walking like crazy in a month? I hope... :-)

Do you usually just hold the baby, or carry the baby in the infant seat, baby wear or use a stroller when you drop off one child at daycare?
