@Weagle: ahh, yeah. I also use it mostly inside, mall walking etc. which makes it feel bulky, being contained in all the small stores!

@Penny Lane: That makes me feel better ;) I've got a minivan and we will use it mostly outside, so I think it will still work for us.

@Weagle: hehe :) don't get me wrong, I love it. I love mountain buggies in general! I'm quite sad to be trying to sell it. my main gripe is how hard it is to get in my car boot! I've got a smallish car (impreza) and struggle a little getting it at the perfect angle to slide in! if I had a car with a bigger boot I don't think I would even be considering selling it :)

I just built our Contours Options tandem stroller. It's pretty big (both when open and folded) but it seems to handle really well. We have a truck and a big entry in our house so size isn't too big of a deal for us. I wanted the tandel option to be able to take it to the mall/farmers market ect. One thing I hate about it is that to fold it the brake needs to be on, so it doesn't roll when closed! So stupid!
If I were to buy a side by side I would go with the b-agile double - which I do want but DH says no to 2 doubles :(

I just got the city mini double gt yesterday and DH and I love it. Manuevers easily, adjustable handlebar, DS loved it and didn't want to get out. Canopy is big.

I test drove all doubles I can think of. I didn't like the britax because DS can barely see out when sitting on bottom, ubv had same problem and the seat was flimsy. Sounds like fun at the zoo or aquarium. I did like the city select bc he could see out top and bottom. I also loved the bugaboo donkey but the price tag is ridiculous.

I think if the B-Ready was too bulky for you, that the City Mini GT Double is a GREAT choice. It folds up so small, and is much lighter weight. The tires are also higher quality than the City Mini Double. I can't think of another stroller that will be less bulky than the B-Ready, that can handle different terrains, and is in your price point! Most of the other double strollers are just as bulky as the B-Ready (Phil and Ted, Mountain Buggy, UBV, Bumbleride, Bob, City Select, etc...)

we've got the mountain buggy +one, which I LOVE, but am also becoming a little meh about. it handles amazingly, goes over rocky terrain and up curbs like NBD. but at the same time it LOOKS bulky and doesn't fold up very small, and that bugs me. I'm hoping to sell and get a phil and teds dot with the double kit instead

I have the baby jogger city select double. I don't have 2 yet. But I basically bought it because it has the bassinet feature. Just playing around with it, I love it! Oh and its nice to handle on walks on the train behind our house.

We have the Britax B Agile double stroller and love it. It's basically like a Citi mini double with just a few small differences and cheaper too! I bought ours from Amazon for $330. When you fold it up it can stand up on its own, it fits through all exterior doorways and super easy to maneuver.

I'm in the market for a double pram and need some help narrowing down the choices! This will be our second attempt at buying a double pram as we hated the first one we had (the Aussie version of the Britax B-Ready) because it was too big and bulky, aside from not being the easiest to maneuver.

We have an 8 week old and a 21 month old, so we'll be using a double for quite a while yet. We're moving to England in June and will be taking lots of country walks so I need something that can handle rough terrain as well as cobblestone streets and narrow laneways. I'd also prefer something as compact as possible as we all know England, and Europe in general, is not exactly known for its spaciousness!

I'm currently leaning towards the City Mini GT double (2012/2013 version as it's on sale and I can't see that any of the changes in the 2014 version are essential) but am open to other suggestions. Price is a consideration as we'd like to stay below $500 but there is a bit of wiggle room.

So, if you have a double pram, tell me what you love, or don't love, about it and why! Thanks!

ETA: just found a recent thread discussing double prams - sorry for the repeat, missed it the first time I searched!
