My inverted nipples were tethered so they had a hard time everting. Once they did though they stayed everted. A good LC will be able to help you find a brand that fits your breast, and helps with your specific issue. I got them at the hospital with LO#1 and wish I had them sooner. I had one inverted and one flat and nursing was awful at the beginning. I wore the shells like nonstop during my leave and was able to successfully nurse past a year. This time I was planning to start earlier but would love to hear what your LC says. I ultimately gave up on that breast at 10 weeks and continued one sided nursing until 16 months. </p> <p>This time around I want to look into breast shells prior to delivery since that sounds like the best chance of success. I have an appointment with an LC at 36 weeks. I don't know what to expect but honestly I'm not feeling much hope that it will do anything. I'd love to hear anyone else's experiences with them prior to delivery. </p>
