We did maybe 60% BLW with her and would just pull her all the way up to the table and put the food on the table. It gets messy no matter how you stack it, but the chair is pretty easy to clean. Now that she's a bit older we put her food on a plate and she does a pretty good job of eating from the plate and not getting food everywhere. The hydraulic feature has already broken (which is a common issue apparently) and the tray is the small side which makes it easier for LO to throw food.</p> <p>I bought a gray chair pad to replace the blue pad, so it matches our decor which is sadly the reason I got it. It's super easy to clean, tray isn't easy to remove but we leave it on all the time anyways. Had something different with my first LO (a wooden chair that was a pain to clean - I would have to scrape out the joints with a knife and I am not a clean freak!). Got the boon for LO 2 and its so... much... better! Can wipe w one hand while other hand holds baby! Best of all LO 1 thinks it's awesome which is kind of funny. She sits in it all the time. I also love dragging it around the house and kitchen. They are pushed up to the table and eat with everyone else. I really like that social aspect of it. She also raves about how nice they look and that they are easy to clean. Our babe will not be here for another 2 months but that's the one I'm getting. I have the Graco Blossom LX 4-in-1. No complaints here. It's super easy to wipe down after every meal. The top eating surface comes off and I wash it in the sink and dry it in the dish rack. It comes with two so you could alternate if you wanted. Then the whole tray pulls out which can be cleaned or give you easier access to LO or the seat for cleaning. The footrest is adjustable; LO is 14 months and we just adjusted to the middle level. It also reclines, which sounds weird but is actually handy if LO falls asleep in the chair and you don't want to move them because they might wake up. We have taken the booster with the back that can strap to most chairs on vacation with us and used the tray, although we could have pulled her up to the table too. The best part for us is that we can seat two kids from one unit. We would take that outside and let her make a huge mess. We have the ikea blames and love it. We hose the whole thing down outside. It looks like it's the same price as the sprout but you have to buy additional accessories for it.</p> <p>I'm not sure why the high chairs that sit on a regular chair don't appeal to me, but they just don't. Space is not an issue. I think it would be nice if it had a removable tray so we could pull it right up to the table, but I've never even fed a baby in a high chair so I have no idea what I'm really looking for! </p>
