@IRunForFun: so sorry mama! I wanted to third the opinion of tummy troubles. This sounds a lot like my DS and he had severe reflux. He also hated being swaddled, and was much happier with his arms out.

Well first night in the cosleeper was a bust. She stayed asleep in it for 15 minutes and then freaked out and wouldn't calm down enough to go back in it. I had folded up an A&A dream blanket to put under the top end to create an incline and swaddled her so tonight I'll try unswaddled...

@yoursilverlining: I think back then stomach sleeping was actually recommended because they worried about choking on spit up! That's what my mom told me and we were kids in the 80s.

@Truth Bombs: @yoursilverlining: She does have a bit of reflux but not severe enough to medicate and I've already cut dairy due to a suspected intolerance. But I am sure that tummy troubles are at play.

@IRunForFun: When I was an infant I wouldn't sleep on my back either. Of course this was back in the early 80's when people didn't really care lol, but my pediatrician discovered several months later that I had a lower back injury from delivery as well as stomach issues (due to dairy intolerance) like @TruthBombs mentioned above. A shot in the dark, but maybe worth looking into if you can't resolve the sleeping? Good luck!

@IRunForFun: I would impress upon your husband the importance of a well rested Mommy and safe sleep for baby and give the dockatot a try. Also, belly sleeping can be a sign of tummy trouble (laying on their tummy helps relieve gas), any chance she's dealing with a food intolerance that could be making it difficult for her to sleep comfortably?

@Truth Bombs: Trust me, I know. This is why I'm not sleeping. She literally won't sleep on her back. Incline, no incline, swaddles, unswaddled, in bed with me or elsewhere...doesn't matter. That's why I'm trying to find a solution.

@IRunForFun: Is she sleeping on her stomach in your bed? If so, I think you really need to do whatever it takes to get her out of that situation. At 8 weeks old babies shouldn't be sleeping on their stomachs on a firm crib mattress but especially not on an adult mattress. My friend used the dockatot and it's been a life saver for her. I think it's well worth the money to get your baby in a safer sleep environment.

@wrkbrk: I wish I would have bought it from the beginning! I don't know if I want to invest now she's already 2 months. Maybe if I could find one used. They're still priced high even for resale though!

@Jackiedavis87: That's one I considered and it's affordable!

@yoursilverlining: I was considering that one too. One of my considerations is the length so smart tip for cutting the end off!

@Banana330: I know, I actually really want one, but I think DH would kill me if I spent the $$.

Thanks all!

We used and liked this in bed co-sleeper: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00012CHFI/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1489719126&sr=8-1&keywords=infant+co-sleeper

LO got long in it before we were ready to quit using it so we just cut off the foam wedge at the end.

As I type this my 15 mo DS is passed out next to me hahaha. He was also like that as a baby, if he wasn't physically touching me, he did not sleep. That is bed time and naps. Honestly until he was 4 months old me and DH pretty much just took shift to sleep. DShad horrible reflux and colic and MSPI, so now looking bad I think it was mostly a comfort thing. That being said we bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00YBADM1O/ref=ya_aw_oh_bia_dp?ie=UTF8&psc=1

We started using it around 4mo and used till he grew out of it around 10mo. Now at 15mo it's just all feet in my face all the time lol. But I'm nowhere near ready for him to leave the bed.
Forgot to add, honestly I'm pretty sure I just didn't sleep without waking up every single time he made a noise or moved until he was 1 anyways. I was PPA/PPD and SIDS terrified me.

We had the snuggle nest and didn't love it. It only worked for a few weeks before ds outgrew it. What did work for a full six months was the halo bassinet bc it vibrates!!! Every time ds would start to cry overnight (other than for feedings) I'd hit the button and he's settle right back down. Worth every penny!

@Eko: Yeah I just feel like I'm not really sleeping because she's so wiggly and I'm always waking up to check on her and make sure she isn't suffocating in the bedding (even though I don't put blankets over her or anything.) But I guess I'm sleeping more than I would be if she was just screaming all night elsewhere.

At about 5 weeks DS decided he hated his rock n play and only wanted to be held... in hindsight probably because of his reflux. He ended up in my arms on his side/back until 5 months until we slowly transitioned him to a crib. I never had a problem with him sleeping in bed and kind of just went with it. We tried other things like putting him in a pack and play bassinet when he fell asleep and that never worked. I was only willing to try so many things b3cause I still wasn't sleeping

DD is 8 weeks and won't sleep anywhere but in bed with me. I've tried her in the rock n play, pack n play bassinet, and on a foam wedge sleeper on top of the bed. She won't settle anywhere but next to me while I pat her back (she sleeps on her stomach, which I realize isn't considered safe at this age, but it's another one of the only ways she'll sleep.) I have to pat her back to get her back to sleep after every feeding.

I've never planned to cosleep or bed share and my sleep is more interrupted than it would be with an infant anyway since I'm constantly aware of her next to me. I try to move away from her so we aren't touching (DH is sleeping elsewhere at the moment) but she ends up wiggling her way back to me every time!

I'm thinking of getting a little cosleeper to put her in on top of the bed next to me so I can still pat her back but get her used to sleeping without touching me. I'm hoping if I can get her used to that I can eventually put the cosleeper in the crib (I know, also not recommended, but you gotta do what you gotta do) and transition her that way.

I just don't know which to get. The dock-a-tot thing is crazy expensive. Anyone know of a less expensive version? I was also looking at the Baby Delight Snuggle Nest and the Summer Infant Swaddle Me.

Any suggestions?
