@dc yoga bee: jumping on your thread jack, but I carried my Lo at 19 m in an ergo and it was still ok. Indefinitely think other carriers would be better (like a Tula or something) but I don't want to spend so much on something this late in the game. The base wasn't as close to her knees and the back didn't come up as high as I would have liked but it definitely still worked. She was 24 lbs last time I carried her in it. She outgrew our Beco gemini before that and I borrowed the ergo.

Love mine!! I originally had the bjorn and it was hurting my shoulders/back. The weight distribution on the lillebaby is much more even and its sooo comfortable! Plus it's easy to use which is always a good thing!

@dc yoga bee: No, they aren't, but just personally for me, she's getting a bit too big. Toddler-sized carriers will allow you to carry your child longer than a standard Ergo will.

H still has the good knee-to-knee fit on the Ergo, but she's in a growth spurt and I can see that it's not as close to her knees as it was before. I think the Ergo will be okay for an older toddler, but most of H's height is in her torso and already the back of the Ergo is getting kind of short on her.

@avivoca: not to thread jack, but are ergos only for newborn/infant stage?

I'm intrigued! I wish I could try one out near me. H is getting a bit too big for the Ergo but is still too small for a toddler Tula (plus I don't want to spend that kind of money).

We have the standard version, I think it's just called the Organic? It has a head support for sleeping and a hood, but doesn't have a breathable mesh. It's DHs carrier and he really likes it!

@FaithFertility: I think I'll wait until close to my due date, and then just order on Amazon...that way I can return if I don't love it. Kind of excited about this one--it seems to have EVERYTHING I like in all other carriers--very wide seat for toddler, narrow seat for infants, the airflow part, the possibility to cross or not cross back straps, the clip instead of velcro waist belt, the hood AND neck rest.

And it's less expensive than many other carriers. Seems like a winner all around.

I'm looking at one of these now, too! I like the all-seasons version, but there's nowhere close to me I can try one! You guys still loving yours?

I'm really happy with mine! I have the all seasons which is probably the one she has...has a zipper to allow for some air flow in warmer weather. The hood has been great in this crazy cold winter too.

I have the Lillebaby Complete carrier and it has a hood and is supposed to be more breathable. No complaints here with the carrier. It has 6 carrying positions so it grows with your LO which is helpful and it's machine washable. I have no idea about other versions though.

Do they all have the breathable zipper, and hood for sleeping?
I saw a women in Target and she had her 3 month old in one and was nursing with this hood, up only reason I knew she was nursing is because she told me when I asked her what carrier she was using...
I am really thinking of spending the $$
