@brownie: across country by yourself?! Yikes. I'm nervous, and DH is coming too.

We're probably going to bring the stroller for the airport terminal dashes, unless he's walking by then, then I might need to consider a leash! Thanks!

Leash I wish I had one. With all the crap, I didn't want to chase after him and leave it but he needed to move. A leash would give him a radius to move in and I could stay near the stuff. I was traveling by myself across country with my 10 month old.

This is probably less important if you can divide and conquer.

Oh and food. Lots of his favorites. I filled baggies with puffs because they were a treat and he loved them.

@Kemma: We're hoping to avoid it! They're sooooo expensive, plus we lose DH's wages while we're gone because he's a contractor

I flew to Korea from the us when lo was nine months old. I flew alone and was terrified but it went very smoothly! I just nursed a lot, brought along plenty of puff snacks and purées (earths best pouches) and several toys. I also brought my ergo and wore her for quite a bit of the flight. I flew business class so I had tons of space to sprawl out which def helped, but if there are two of you, hopefully you will be able to stretch out a bit. Good luck! :)

First, hopefully travel is the right place to put this! I wasn't sure!

So, ladies. Hubs and I are planning to travel to Denver in June. As we live in New Zealand, this entails 3 flights, one of which is 11 hours long, and the other 2 are a measly 1 and 3.5 (or there abouts) hour long one. LO will be 10 months old by then.

I've read the series on travel. (Off note: can I just say how much I love the series feature, Mr and Mrs Bee?! Amazing) But I'm just wondering if anyone has any extra tips. Has anyone else done this? Are we crazy for even considering this?

ETA: he's just over 6 months old now, and is already crawling and trying to pull up. I'm imagining he's going to be fairly mobile by then
