Lots of those ice packs that you'll get the hospital (keep sticking them in your bag and ask for more!)
Ibuprofen
ShrinkHips (or however they spell it) it helped with my separated pelvis and made me feel so much more stable
Belly wrap - a really tight one
Always pads - buy super absorbency and then long light days ones too, which you'll probably wear for several weeks
Stool softener
Sitz bath - take it from the hospital
Nursing tanks - I like bravado and my size at around 34w was great for a year since the cups stretch
Peri bottle - take it from the hospital
Tucks
Maternity yoga pants - nothing with a waist band and I wouldn't really do anything new since whatever you buy won't fit in a couple months and may get stained with leakage and breast milk
any kind of top that opens easily, if you want to layer on top of the nursing tanks

Subscribing! I was just thinking I needed to make a list of what I would need, in addition to what the lil' dudes would need. I favorited this blog a while back that has Mrs. Superhero's must haves:

I swear by the purple always overnight maxi pad. They cover everything. I took a little advil and tylenol but not much. We did have maalox or something like that to get the stool moving.

@SSLM: I would also like to add that I wore a dress in the hospital because it was easier for the nurses to check me out (dress easier to lift up than to take pants down). Also, if you end up needing a c section, there won't be a waistband against your incision.

These are the pp care things I actually used:
2 peri bottles (one for upstairs and one for downstairs)
My usual brand of pads, overnight/large/pantyliner sizes
Stool softener

For clothes:
Tanks with built-in shelf bras
Soft cotton shirts
Nursing pads (if you use cloth, I'd recommend getting 6+ pairs)
Yoga pants

@AutumnLove: I wasn't prepared either . . . I walked in (fresh from a long day at work)for one of my last OB appointments and was sent straight downstairs to L&D to be induced. I didn't even have my hospital bag with me because, well, I thought I had at least another week. : / I was lucky I could verbally direct DH to where my favorite dress and nursing bra was so that he could pick them up for me!

@sslm: I'm 2 wks pp today and have been living in my maternity leggings, yoga pants, and nursing tops. I also have a couple regular tanks and buttonless cardigans for layering ( holy pp hot flashes!) which might work for you depending on where you live. I've been sleeping in pj pants and tees, with a sleep nursing bra underneath.

The bottle that you can put warm water in, overnight pads, Tuck's pads, that numbing spray, stool softener, ibuprofen, granny panties, I stole one of those waterproof bed liners from the hospital to use on the couch and in bed in case I had any leaks....A lot of this stuff the hospital actually sent home with me so I was set for the most part. I did need more Tuck's pads though and regular pads.

I had heavy over night pads, lanolin, nursing pads and Tylenol.

I knew I would use the following form the hospital so if you don't get these there I would try to have them on hand: ice pack pads, Dermoplast (nuymbing/healing spray you can buy OTC), witch hazel wipes/tucks, spray bottle to fill with warm water and spray after going to the bathroom.

Big, diaper-like pads, Ibuprofen + Tylenol (one of each at my Dr's suggestion), Tuck's pads and the icy pad packs things (we got them from the hospital, they sent me home with a huge bag). The Tuck's pads were amazing (I had some bad hemorrhoids from pushing so long), and they sell them at Target. They gave me some at the hospital but I ran out and went and bought a huge box...I layered them in my diaper-pad for a few weeks and used them to wipe instead of toilet paper.
