We live 45 minutes away and DH offered to bring it in for me because I really wasn't up for the drive (he even registered for me at the hospital and everything). There's nothing more romantic than your DH carrying around vials of your poo HAHA. And he stopped to get me a mother's day present on the way home despite me telling him not to. He said he had been calling the florist almost daily to make sure he didn't miss the first peonies of the season. I was so sad to hear that and scared that my DD might not get to meet her great grandmother. So he took the next day off work so we could drive the 1.5 hours to my hometown to see her! Yesterday, I was really hysterical because I found out I had GD, two weeks after my test (they say to assume you're clear if you do not hear anything after 3 days). I was instructed to come tot he hospital immediately for an urgent appointment and while we were waiting in the hospital and I was all teary and pathetic he offered to punch the diabetes midwife for me! He was only joking - he wouldn't punch anyone - but it made me laugh and it was so sweet how angry he was that I hadn't received the care I needed sooner. He said the code phrase I was to say (which meant please punch the midwife) was "the cheese is old and moldy" and, as the midwife was telling me all about my new dietry requirements, DH kept asking me "Is the cheese old and moldy?" which kept making me smirk. Usually we wash sheets/towels on Sunday after we grocery shop in the afternoon. I *LOVE* to sleep on clean sheets. This means I never get to sleep on our clean sheets, the sheets in my mom's spare bedroom, sure, but not MY sheets. I got home tonight and DH was putting freshly washed sheets on the bed. *swoon. It may not have been the biggest romantic gesture but it totally made my night! </p>
