@looch: I'm going to bookmark that one and try find it in a store. It's up to 25 kilos and I think my son is around 18.5. It also looks more comfortable than some of the booster type seats.

Had we stayed abroad, this would have been my son's next seat.

@looch: yes! I've seen that brand. I had no idea they were related. For something like a car seat it is super reassuring to have brand recognition. Now, what do I look for?

Do you have Roemer? That's part of the Britax family!

I need car seat help. We don't have a car and rarely use car seats unless we rent a car, so I have no idea what I need. The other thing is that we are in Europe, so not all US/Canada brands are here (I've never seen Britax in stores, for example), and then there are brands I have never heard of.

My DS is 3.5 and currently has a Britax Boulevard. My DD is 8 months and still fits in her Maxi Cosi bucket seat, but I imagine she'll be done with it before she is 1. My thought is that we would buy a new seat for DS, and move DD into the Britax. I've seen threads about booster type seats for preschool aged kids, but when we do drive, it is usually for longer car trips, so I would want DS to be able to be comfortable in a new seat.

Any suggestions? Or suggestions for features I should be looking for?
