Ours are 22 months apart. I pictured myself a mom of boys from the beginning, so I was a little disappointed to have a second girl. Now that they are almost 2 and 4I truly can't imagine life any other way. They have so much fun together! It's fun to reuse the clothes and compare them at different ages and stages. I am an only child, and to see their relationship as sisters grow… It's been so special. Congrats! ❤️

@nana87: Congrats! I have one of each but I was kind of hoping for a second girl. There haven't been sisters in my family for several generations and I've always been curious and envious of that relationship.

@nana87: Congratulations on your second girl!! :girl: :girl:

I love having two girls. There's nothing quite like opening up the next size up box from the loft and seeing all the adorable clothing items you had forgotten about! And sisters is just such a special bond.

@nana87: I don't have girls or even sisters but have always wanted one. My two best friends are sisters (one is same age as I am, the other is two years older) and while they fought a lot growing up (and still fight all the time!) they have a bond and relationship that I'll never have with either of them.

@Charm54: said it all! I also have three sisters and they are my best friends. I have a brother too and our relationship just isn't the same as sisters.

My two girls love each other SO much. I'm sure boys or girl boy siblings would too but I just love having my girls. I also had a weird mix of feelings when I found out the second was a girl- I wanted another girl for dd1 so she would have a sister. But I wanted DH to get to experience a son. But for me I was still happy to have another girl.

And the matching outfits are just too cute for words. They wore matching Sisters Are the Best t shirts just today. 😍

I have two girls and I love it!! Like others have already mentioned - sharing clothes, matching outfits, willing to invest in more expensive pieces, etc. I also love the relationship that can only be cultivated between sisters and though I can't guarantee my girls will be close, if they stay on the same path they are now, they will be! And one day, they'll both be married, experience pregnancy, and be mothers (if they chose to be/are able to) and those are experiences that only a fellow female can truly understand and bond over. It's many years away, but I already look forward to that season of their lives! I only have an older brother and while we are close, wow he could care less about my nausea, c section recovery, etc.!

I am currently pregnant with girl #2 and we are almost definitely done. I secretly wanted another girl so I was thrilled. My family has tons of girls two- my grandmother had I think 3 sisters, my mom has 4 sisters, and I have a sister plus lots of girl cousins. We are all pretty close- sisters tend to end up best friends with us and I would have been so upset if DD never got to have that special relationship. Also- reusing clothes and sharing toys!

I have a sister and I have two little girls of my own (3 and 1) and it's the best ever. The hand me downs are awesome and I definitely splurge more on my older girl since I know everything will get worn twice! :-) Also, just the sisterly relationship they have developed is so sweet to see. Finally, I'm definitely a "girl mom" and love everything feminine so it's been really fun to decorate and buy girly things for two!

First off, hand me downs. Enough said.
Second, matching outfits. Haha seriously though I adore it. I love seeing how different they are despite all the generalizations you hear about girls, I like seeing those myths debunked in my daily life. They are great friends. They're both still little so playing together is new but it's the sweetest. And I look forward to them room sharing one day. And I always wanted a sister. This dynamic will be new to me and fun to see.

One of the great benefits of having 2 girls is they get to experience having a sister and the bond that comes with that. I think its a very different bond between brother and sister

I love having 2 girls. Hand-me-downs (they are both summer babies) are great, and they love playing together. Also, we get to be unabashedly girls sometimes. I kind of hate pink, but my daughter is going through a pink phase, and it's actually kind of fun to do some frou frou stuff.

Also, can you get any cuter than this?

So DH has a daughter from his first marriage. She may not be born from me, but she was born into my heart the moment I met her .So She is MY oldest as well. Then we have a 3.5 year old DD and another girl due in December. I LOVE having girls. I don't know. At this point its what I know (DD1 turns 13 in Sept) , what I am comfortable with. Not that I wouldn't be excited and thrilled to have a boy. I always just thought there was something beautiful about "sisters". It was just me and my brother growing up. Don't get me wrong I LOVE having a brother and to this day I still adore him and look up to him SO MUCH. But I always wanted a sister.
Its nice being able to pass down clothes, toys, and even sharing a room is more convenient.

I have 3 sisters and they are my absolute best friends. So when I found out I was having a second girl, I was so excited for dd1 to have a sister and for them to hopefully have that lifelong close relationship too.

I love watching my girls together...I love being able to reuse clothes, as others have said it's nice to be able to buy more $$ quality clothes knowing they will get reused. Also dressing them in matching outfits is almost too much cuteness to handle.

I had mixed emotions too over the fact that I would never have a son - i realized though that it had more to do with the fact that we were done. Because I would have been sad if dd1 never had a sister, so it would have been mixed emotions either way. I'm thrilled with 2 girls and can't imagine our family any other way!

Sisters are the best and I just love watching their relationship grow 👭

I have one DD and one DS so I can't speak of having two girls. But I am the oldest of three girls and I can say growing up with 2 sisters was amazing. We are now in our 20s-30s and they are truly my bestest friends in the entire world. I can count on them for anything. There is nothing like a sister. Your girls will be lucky to grow up with eachother

We just got our materniti21 results back and found out lo2 is a girl!!

I'm so excited--I only have nieces and a daughter, so I can't really imagine a baby that ISN'T a girl, plus I love the girl-name dh and I have been talking about, and we already have tons of clothes...but there is still a little bit of disappointment that we won't have 1 of each (we only want 2), and my parents will now have 5 granddaughters and no grandsons...

So tell me, if you have two (or more!) little girls, what do you love about it?
