I'd already been to the doctor a couple of times and have a longer appointment coming up soon, so I know it would get suspicious if I didn't tell. He was really happy for me. I'll probably just tell her at her desk more than scheduling a meeting this time. We're friends too so I don't want to make it a formal meeting. He actually high fived me and that was kind of awkward. Ugh, I don't want my boss to try and make my co-worker cancel. Co-worker doesn't know I'm PG. Boss has approved co-workers vacay and I think co-worker is booking the trip tonight. I really should have told earlier than that since I had to preform those duties at 5 weeks but I wasn't ready to tell. This is my second pregnancy under this boss so I wasn't as nervous. He eeked out "Congratulations." I wasn't expecting much since he doesn't have kids and has been very vocal that he is not interested in family lives at all.</p> <p>Then, just a few weeks ago my boss mentioned he and his wife had two ectopic pregnancies and a failed round of IVF. My guess is that this was 10+ years ago but I'm sure it's not something you get over. In both cases, I said I had some news and they said, "I hope you're not leaving." I said, "Only temporarily." They caught on immediately and were very nice about it and happy for me.</p> <p>My manager has a toddler and another baby on the way, and his wife works.
