Awesome, thanks for the info ladies! I ordered Taking Charge of Your Fertility and will delve into it asap. Hope it gets here quickly haha. I've been trying to read through as many posts on here about temping as possible in the meantime.

Read taking charge of your fertlity! That book was worth it's weight in gold for helping me understand what was going on with my body! I used the family planning method with temp-taking as birth control (successfully) for over three years and to conceive our first.
Then i used the app "Pink Pad" to track temps and chart the surges and dips (really helpful).
edited to add: take your temp first thing in the morning (making sure you've slept for at least four hours) and log it as well as any other symptoms (mucus, etc) - your temp will normally rise at ovulation and then dip right before or the day AF arrives. A good sign of pregnancy is if it raises or stays high when you would normally expect AF.

I have never used glow but i have used Ovia and fertility friend. I also read "taking charge of your fertility" Fertility Friend has a online course where they email you lessons on conception and reading your chart. I like that FF maps your ovulation date for you Ovia doesnt do that. it usually takes 2-3 cycles for you to really see a pattern of ovulation

Can someone give me the rundown on temping/charting? I use the Glow app where it lets me input my temperature and chart it for me. I bought a digital thermometer and know I have to take it first thing in the morning before I get out of bed. That's it though!

What do I need to know? How do I analyze my temperature chart, etc?
