My skin got horrible and I am religious about my skincare! The only thing that worked for me were facials. Every 4 weeks from 12 weeks on. My skin finally got back to normal within 2 facials but upkeep was critical. I also use Eminence products. It's an organic line that works well. You can buy the products on Amazon for pretty reasonably well priced!

I would say if you don't want to buy too much or do too much, maybe get a good facial scrub. Do that twice a week.
Plus, get a good moisturizer

Everything I use is from Lush. I don't work there anymore, but I used to.

For oily skin and breakouts I would do the following:
Ultrabland - once daily - creamy, gentle oil-based cleanser, great for unclogging pores and removing makeup
Herbalism - daily in the shower - gentle scrub with antibacterial herbs
Tea Tree Toner - controls oil, tightens pores
Vanishing Cream or Enzymion - light moisturizer

I had AWFUL skin during pregnancy...and fir a few months after. Honestly, nothing helped. At all. I don't even plan on wasting my time on the next go-around.

I the oily pimples/dry skin combo. La Roche-Posay's Effaclar Duo cleared it up for me and didn't contain anything my OB objected to. Weleda's Skin Food is a $12 fix for flaking combo skin. It feels oily at first, but absorbs quickly. I'd be lost without it.

I had that through out my pregnancy and unfortunately nothing helped. It got worse as my pregnancy you went on and I tried everything possible.... I chalked it up to hormones, not much you can do about those!! It cleared up slowly after delivery, within the first couple of months.

I had acne pop up out of nowhere in the first trimester along my hairline. I made sure to wash thoroughly and gently and moisturized afterwards. Now that I'm at twelve weeks, that phase has passed and I'm just waiting for the marks to fade away. Time will heal!

I have super sensitive skin, so I just kept washing with cetaphyl and moisturing. I have had terrible skin on one side of my face and chin this whole pregnancy. I invested in some good lightweight make-up to cover it up, and am praying it goes away post-delivery!

What helped my cystic pimples were the Renee rouleau anti cyst treatment. Mild exfoliation and a good moisturizer. Sometimes I even use vitamin e or aquaphor.

@Mrs. Oatmeal: Me me!! I was going to start a thread myself actually on this same topic. Now, I would think I am imagining it since I am literally 4 weeks today - but the ONLY symptom/indication of anything happening at all is my face. And NOT in a good way. That being said, I'll take oily skin over MS and other terrible pregnancy signs!!

My skincare routine is non-existent. My face, now that I'm pregnant, is covered in large, deep pimples and is dull, oily, and pretty flaky.

I really need some help; what should I use? I don't want to spend a fortune, but am willing to shell out a little if it will help.
