Personally, I probably wouldn't use them because if I got a negative with an expired test I'd start to think maybe the test was bad and go buy more anyway lol.

I got my BFP on an expired test. It was about a year past the expiration date. Still worked just fine :)

i had some OPKs that expired and they lines just got lighter- both of them so they were still able to be compared, but not as dark as i was used to seeing so they threw me off a little.

@Mrs. Polish: Are they OPKs or HPT? I would continue to use them if they were expired HPT but for OPKs, I might order new ones. I use the cheapies HPT to test for an early pregnancy and then switch to digital tests. The cheapies are used so I don't feel guilty wasting it on the more expensive tests. For expired OPKs, since they are used to determine when I will be ovulating and when to BD, I would feel comfortable getting a new batch.

I'm not sure about this... I had some that expired in August too, and they didn't pick up what I think may have been a super early m/c (clotty and late AF). At that time they would've been only a week expired. Since they are so cheap, I'd say buy new ones.

I am keeping my last one to test next time I do get a BFP, just to see if its really expired.

I would probably use them anyways. I wonder what exactly would become less effective?

I would use them up still. I doubt they really expire when they say they do, especially if stored in reasonable conditions.

@bluestriped bee: @TheSwissWifeStyle: I agree, but I still have a bunch and won't use them all up right now. I was just wondering if I should keep them or go ahead and order more.

I've never had this happen before, but I just realized my tests expired in August.

I know everything has a date (even water). Is the date on tests serious or just something they have to put on there?

Mine are the Amazon cheapies.

What do you think?
