So this way as long as we know the other person is awake we can keep a delayed conversation going through the day when each person has a chance to chime in! For me it depends, sometimes texting is way more convenient if you just have a quick question for someone, other times it takes wayyyy longer constantly responding to texts when a phone convo could have been quicker. You cannot understand tone and emotion thru text/email the way you can an actual conversation.
