We had issues but I was afraid she'd flip her lid when I let her go and she was fine with it (in the moment) and maybe even a little relieved. It's his mom!<br /> What is the new childcare alternative? Daycare? I would just say (through your husband) that the new option (daycare, individual, etc) has an opening a week early and you think that the sooner LO can get adjusted the better.<br /> I'm also not confrontational, but while I can't imagine sitting to have a tense conversation like that, I also can't imagine texting my mother (from DH perspective) who I see every day news like that. I also think that tone is better conveyed in person. If she's already tense she may read a text in the wrong tone.<br /> I think it would be a lot worse if she didn't already know her position was coming to an end. Maybe this won't be a huge deal and it's bigger in your head? I do that sometimes. We want to tell her but we know she's most likely going to be offended that we rather go this route than have her watch him but the point is...I'm just not comfortable with the fact that she doesn't want to communicate face to face and when I'm the hospital already missing my baby, I don't want to have to wonder what's going on or worry about if she's in a mood or not. </p> <p>SO with that all being said, we want to tell her but do we do it via text like we have been communicating or TRY to wait until she gives us the chance to talk to her face to face. If a timeline helps...this is happening in less than three weeks. </p> <p>AND should it me or DH or if you choose text message should it be a group chat (which is usually how the three of us communicate) </p> <p>Thanks ladies </p>
