I would be afraid of keeping track of the gifts to send a TY note. (Aren't mothers exhausted and sometimes not with it after giving birth.) I think saying TY in person is fine. I've already written thank you cards for the shower gifts. Now that the baby has arrived I had a few people bring another gift up to the hospital. Most were our moms and I don't think I need to send another thank you card. But one is a family friend we've known for 30 years. Do I need to send her another card? We said thank you in person. Is this plenty or should I send another card? </p>
