@LindsayInNYC: @Modern Daisy: I did all our wedding paper via digital files on Etsy and was thrilled! I just put the files on a cd and took them to a local printer who did everything - envelopes, invites, RSVP cards, thank you notes, etc - for like $30. I was extremely happy with it.

@Modern Daisy: To save at Paper Source, I usually buy the blank cards and add my own embellishments. Or, I splurge one a nice stamp and get cheaper blank cards elsewhere.

I used vistaprint.com and it came out to about $25 for the cards. My friend designed the image and I uploaded it and they came really quickly. Vistaprint always has coupons so just google a coupon for thank you cards

@evansjamie: There is a paper source right by my apartment, but they tend to be pretty expensive. I love the designs though and I use them for special occasions!

@Modern Daisy: They should if the digital file provided is high resolution. It would all depend on the paper that they're printed on!

I try not to pay more than 10 cents apiece for thank you cards. I've had good luck at michaels and Christmas tree shops besides target.

Good luck!

I have a favorite set of thank you cards that I use for general occasions. They are ~$1/card - 10 in the box. That to me is outrageous but they are really pretty cards. For showers or parties, I get cheap ones from any store like Walmart, Hallmark, etc.

I ordered mine from an Etsy seller. I think it was around $40 for 25. They are personalized, though. It was over $100 to buy the matching ones (to my invites) from Minted.com. I thought that was outrageous.

Would she make the design for you and allow you to print them yourself? That way you would just pay for the digital file and could print them anywhere (Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Snapfish, etc.)

I bought mine on Etsy for about $1 each. They matched the shower theme, so I couldn't resist! I'm having a small shower though... if I was having a lot of guests, I probably wouldn't spend so much.

How much did you all pay for thank you cards and where did you get them?

I need to order thank you cards for shower gifts since they are already starting to arrive. I wanted to have them made by the same Etsy seller who made my shower invites since I love the design and she makes them to match, but I got her pricing and now I am having second thoughts. She basically charges the same price for the TY cards as the invite, $84 for 60 flat cards or $109 for 60 folded cards.

Yikes! That is too much, right? Any suggestions on where I can get more affordable but cute cards?

ETA: Target is not an option since there are none near me and teh online selection is really small
