A lot of medical practices ha e rules about gifts. My last practice only allowed gifts valued at less than $25 or else we'd have to decline. So my only advice is to make it heartfelt but nominal.

First of all CONGRATULATIONS!!! :boy: I think a handwritten card to each person and something edible for them to share would be appreciated.

I'd probably go with a hand-written note to each person, followed up by some sweet treats/healthy snacks for around the office.

Also, this isn't practical for your six-week check-up, but my OB gets a card every year from a patient from ~10 years ago, and the card has a drawing from the child she delivered. She always hangs the drawing up in her office, and I've always thought it's a sweet way to show continuing appreciation.

Fancy chocolates, fancy nut mixes, or wine. GCs to places like Omaha Steaks. I have a food theme going on ha-ha.

First off, congrats!! I like the ideas of breakfast that the other ladies are suggesting, including a card perhaps for each of them (or even as a whole group). I know how important it is to have a strong support system and it is so wonderful that they were there for you during what must have been a trying year.

Do you know of any activities or things your OB really likes? I knew my OB really liked red wine (haha, just like me!) and I bought her a really nice bottle of wine after LO was born as a thank you.

What about a gift certificate to a nice restaurant? And maybe a breakfast for their office (nicer breakfast like a local bakery or something like Panera breakfast bagels, juice, fruit, etc.). Or have cupcakes sent to the office for the staff?

I think heartfelt cards and a plant for the office would be nice. Maybe a small edible, too, like chocolate or muffins/bagels depending on time of day?

I'm sure they will really appreciate the gesture :)

Does anyone have any suggestions for an appropriate thank you gift for my high-risk OB and her practice?

I successfully delivered a beautiful baby boy on July 27th after losing a pregnancy last year at 23 weeks (TFMR, fatal CPAM), and my high-risk OB who guided us through last year's devastating experience was amazing and incredibly supportive throughout this year's emotional pregnancy.

I want to bring some sort of thank you gift to my 6 week check up for my doctor, her assistant, and the two ultrasound technicians at this practice who did so much to alleviate our anxiety, who celebrated this pregnancy, and who provided excellent pre-natal care. Usual thank you gifts like flowers or giftcards don't seem sufficient, and I would greatly appreciate any suggestions!!
