@graceandjoy: thanks! Great idea to write a note. DS hates when i ask him to write his name even - such a perfectionist

@MrsSRS: that’s an excellent idea! I actually work for the same agency that runs the daycare and i know the director already, so hopefully I can help them out.

As a teacher I most appreciate gift cards in a handwritten card. The most touching gifts I've received have been noted from parents about why they liked my class. Even better, tell the teacher you made a copy and gave it to their boss. Praise from parents is why I've gotten raises.

I've always done Target giftcards. At times when the assistants were rotating or I wasn't sure about who is who besides main teachers, I would bring in cookie/bagel trays.

ETA: With your ETA, we always give the GC with a hand written card, adorned by LO, and I try to say specific things they have done to make the year special!

DS is going to transition into the PreK room at his daycare next week and I'd like to give a little something to each of his current teachers as a thank you.

The thing is there are 4 teachers in the current class - 2 full time and 2 part-time college aged assistants. Suggestions?

ETA: I normally would give a Starbucks or Dunkin gift card but I was wondering if there was something more personal or thoughtful I could do instead? I wish my kid was more into coloring pictures but he's not doing that much lately.
