No sleep training, we're just lucky. So of course everyone says, "your second won't be like that." C has slept 14 hours straight through the night since she was 6 months old. People think I'm either exaggerating or outright lying. I'm not. We have had a routine and a bedtime since she was tiny and emphasized good sleep habits from the start. But yeah, I just KNOW our next one is going to be a nightmare. I've gotten a lot of comments about how EBF babies shouldn't do that and I must not be feeding her enough etc. I also get the "just wait, she'll stop sleeping soon enough" comments. Umm, ok. She's a good sleeper, I know I'm lucky but I also think we've done well to keep her good sleep habits firmly entrenched. I also am prepared for the next LO to be the complete opposite....but have my fingers crossed he/she will take after it's big sister! Sil even said it one day when I said LO was sttn (used to, not anymore) and she told me it was unnatural - but thats because when her 2 year old was younger he would cry more then sleep. Probably could have earlier but instead took extra naps and had a later bedtime. I also get that it's "not normal." That with the "you have no idea" looks from people who think my emphasis on good sleep habits and bedtime are ridiculous/unnecessary. It's getting annoying! I get that I'm lucky, I don't need the "you have no idea" looks too. Plus, I'm sure I'm in for it with #2! :P
