We sat on a blanket near the playground like we usually do because she loves watching everyone. Today there was a boy about 6 that wasn't playing very nicely. In fact, he repeatedly came over to my blanket and warned me that he was throwing sand bombs and so I should protect the baby. I thanked him for his concern about LO and told him to be careful of all the children. He kept throwing "sand bombs" and visited our blanket a few more times. I could see a bunch of mothers scowling at me. </p> <p>Predictably, one boy got sand in his eye. His mom stomped right past my blanket giving me the evil eye. Obviously if he were my kid I would be doing a piss poor job of watching him. But he isn't. My kid wasn't even playing in the sandbox, she was in my lap. She doesn't even crawl yet so I thought it was best not to police the playground. </p> <p>What would you have done? </p>
