I didn't realized how much could happen in five years. I found a job that I fulfilled me. I fell in love again (something I didn't was possible), moved across the world to be with the boy I secretly had a crush on for years. We got engaged, we bought a house, got married, then we were blessed with a beautiful and wiggly bundle of joy. I have an herb garden and a vegetable patch. And last year we got our first real "tenants" in our birdhouse. DH's secret plan of converting me into a Swede has finally come to fruition, because as of this past week, I'm now a dual citizen. We have so much to be thankful for during the past 5 years! It's hard to even imagine how much different things will be in 2018. We bought a house and started our family according to our general timeline we anticipated. DH is working in his field established in a particular niche he loves. I am now a SAHM as I wanted. Life is good and we have a lot to be thankful for! I had a really dreadful boyfriend who "didn't believe in marriage" and never wanted children and I was trying to decide if I was okay with that or not..... I was working for the same company I'd been with since I had started full time work. I couldn't have imagined that just 5 years later I'd be where I am today! I have met and married an amazing guy, we have bought a house, I broke away from the security of my boring job and have found a career I love - and now I'm having a baby!! Plus we welcomed my BFF's little boy into the world 5 months ago and he's awesome! There have been tough times, too. I lost my dad and my BFF has lost both of her parents during that time. Since then I divorced his dad, moved in with my parents, went to school and worked full time, met DH, moved in with him, married him, and got pregnant and lost our angel baby. Kind of a roller coaster, but I'm glad DH is with me.
