@josina: I've found this to be true for girls too. Last year, I bought a good number of my daughter's daycare t-shirts and shorts there, and the sizing seemed similar to Carters.

I think it runs pretty similar to Carter's sizing for boys.

I got a rash guard, trunks, and sun hat from there last year for my boy. He doesn’t like swimming or the beach much so he didn’t wear them a ton. They will fit again this year too, but I didn’t have any trouble with the sizing since the drawstring is functional. But he also wasn’t in the water much at all so I can’t attest to how well they stay up if you’re in the water a lot!

Boys stuff is true to size or slightly large (one size difference). Girls stuff runs slightly small or I should say narrow.

@Foodnerd81: Yeah, they have a functional drawstring but sometimes they can be so long. Maybe I’ll check their return policy and order a few sizes.

I have girls but i found they ran very small up tuntil 2 or 3r, then suddenly they ran big. It was really confusing. And we got a tankini from there that the sizing was just so weird, I couldn’t say whether t was big or small! So I would say it’s kind of inconsistent. That’s super not helpful. Do the swim trunks have a draw string?

We’re heading out of town in a couple weeks for spring break and I’m found some great swim trunks for DS from The Children’s Place. Other than a pair of adjustable waist snow pants, we’ve never shopped at TCP. Does anyone know how sizes run there? We always fit much smaller sizes than the size for his age when it comes to swim trunks (currently size 3T swim trunks from carters fit great).
