Ok, I think I'm gonna cast my vote for @Runsyellowlites' hubby. It's one thing to be an awesome father to your own blood but another to be an awesome father to someone else's :)

DH is definitely the most wonderful father already... but lo isn't here yet. Better yet he's the most amazing father to MY son...

1. From the beginning of our engagement he has considered and called DS his son. Not step-son or "my son".... but HIS SON. (DH started calling him Dad ON the wedding day)

2. He takes care of DS's needs just as much as I do, if not more... whether it be getting him dinner, tucking him in, reading with him (esp through my 1st trimester woes), and/or helping him with the subjects that DS was struggling in last year while he was still in regular school. Now that we're homeschooling him, DH has already offered to take school on Friday since he's home.

3. And he gives me time where him a DS will go play outside, or one of DS's favs "Ultimate Alliance" so that I can nap or get some time of quiet... and really taken the place of teaching DS all those guy things that only a Dad can really do.

I've always known the DH would be a wonderful father to our new lo (he's an awesome uncle to his sister's kiddos), but him already being that kind of father to the son that he gained from marrying me has been more than I could've ever imagined. =)

1) Danny does the night time feeding(s) since the get go. Even though he had to work during the day.

2)Since Eli has the tendency to spit up a lot... after the night time feeding(s), he would stay up for another 30 minutes or so just to watch him closely... to make sure he can wipe off his spit ups and he can sleep comfortably. And he would stay in his nursery (we have a twin bed in there) for the rest of the night so if Eli fusses again, I won't get woken up.

3) Danny also does most of the cleaning around the house. So to sum it up. He is out at work 10 hours a day... when he gets home.. he takes care of the house and the baby so I can get my sleep :)

I've never had this much love and appreciation for my husband... until the birth of our son. It's just amazing see how much he can sacrifice for his family.

1. He stays up really late doing homework just so he can spend Wombat's awake time playing with her. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but he stays up until midnight and wakes up at 5:30 or 6:00 am to make my lunch for the day.

2. He's so jealous that I got to be pregnant and now, breastfeed Wombat because he wants that closeness with her.

3. The first time Wombat played with him (she moved her mouth back and forth over his mustache) he cried.

No matter who wins, every parent has things that they do that makes them #1.

1) My husband works the night shift so one of us can always be home with our daughter (since I work days). He always says it's worth it, especially when he goes to the park and sees he's the only dad there- most of the other kids are there with their play group or mom.

2) He always cooks food that is tasty and (usually) healthy for all of us.

3) He loves our daughter so much and was more excited about us trying for a second baby than I was! Also, it's super cute when my two year old and her dad play music together. He plays bass and she "plays" her little piano and sings.

Wow. You girls have awesome hubbies!! My husband is wonderful too, but I'm too lazy to write out the top 3 reasons he deserves the best dad award. HAHA

I win the Hellobee's laziest wife award :P

This is too cool! Here are three of MANY reasons why Rob Sr. should be HelloBee's first Best Dad!

1) I was terrified of changing diapers and the circumcision wound, so I did not change a single diaper for the entire first month of RJ's life. Rob Sr. took care of every single one and every wound dressing.

2) When I was nursing, Rob Sr. woke up with me for every night feeding, even after he went back to work. Either he would feed RJ with a bottle while I pumped, or he would read to me while I nursed and then do internet research and blog with me if I couldn't fall back asleep. If RJ was crying, he'd take him into the walk-in closet and rock him to sleep so I could sleep. So basically, he got as little or less sleep than I did.

3) I was in labor for 24 hours and he was on his feet, standing by my bed for at least 18 of those hours. He refused to even sit in a chair next to me, even when the nurses begged him. The next day he was totally confused as to why the bottoms of his feet hurt so bad-- he could barely stand, and had totally forgotten about standing for the entire day.

My hubby definitely deserves an award for:

1) taking one month off after the little one arrived to take care of everything, and I mean everything (cooking, cleaning, errands, taking care of baby, etc) since I was recovering from my c-section and a separated pubic bone and could barely walk.
2) always coming home with a huge smile no matter how stressful his day was at work. He literally takes 1 minute to change out of his clothes before taking our LO off my hands. It melts my heart to watch them play together.
3) always being considerate of my need for "me" time by suggesting I go spend time with my friends sans baby.

Yes!!! I totally vote my hubby!
1) When LO wakes in the middle of the night, hubby ALWAYS gets up with me to keep me company while I breastfeed even though he gets up for work at 6:15am.
2) He sits by me and rubs my legs/feet when I breastfeed.
3) LO is 3 months old and has NEVER asked me "What's for dinner?" I haven't cooked since the week before I gave birth!
