My DD is usually a great sleeper, but the night after we travel has always been hell for us. We just try to stick to her normal schedule/routine as much as possible. She usually sleeps like crap the first night home and then gets back in the swing the second night home as long as we keep her bedtime the same.

@lovehoneybee: @lamariniere: yay!! So glad to hear.

What was so frustrating about our night last night was that she slept pretty well while we were gone. But then yesterday, she only took a 30 minute nap, went down pretty well, but then was up from midnight to 3:00 a.m. Who knows what tonight will bring, but we may have to do a little CIO to get her back on track. Dreading, dreading, dreading

Ours did well! My son is pretty much always a good sleeper these days, but my daughter has been sleeping like crap for a week since we've had houseguests and travelled. Last night was our first night home after a few nights away and she STTN!

We did well, but only because he slept in until 9 am yesterday (what??? Combination of Sat zoo trip, morning rain and allergies, I think...) so he didn't nap at all. The last few hrs were all about managing over-tired mania, but we were able to get him to bed at a reasonable time and he slept through, thank god.

What did it look like for you? Around these parts last night, it looked like my 19 month old wide awake at 2 am and refusing anything and everything we tried to keep her calm. Teething and a cold didn't help her cause, but it resulted in less than 4 hours of sleep for the parents. DH and I keep reminding ourselves that we functioned on less during the newborn days, so we can do it again, right? (Right? ????)

Anyone else's LO have a rough night after the Thanksgiving holiday?
