I'm a mix between relaxed, one upper, and over achiever I guess. But mostly relaxed. I think I do the one upper by accident in an attempt to commiserate.

I like to research stuff a lot but at the end of the day I'm lazy and. want to give my kid the freedom to just be a kid. Except don't mess with his nap schedule!

I'm probably a mix of natural and relaxed. I definitely use my oils and give him honey and lemon for a cold, but I also am pretty hands off and let him jump off the couch and climb ladders (that I am holding) and stuff.

Definitely the relaxed mom.
Your kid came down the slide and accidentally kicked my kid into the mud? Don't worry! She's not bleeding. Eating sand at the beach? It's natural or whatever. No nap today? Sure, why not. Early bedtime!

On FB with my friends I feel like I'm the "I research everything online and know more than the average mom but I don't want to sound too smart/know it all".

Like when someone on FB posts "Omg my 6 month old won't sleep! He has been awake for 10 hours! Maybe he's just not tired?" And I want to write a novel bc I research anything and everything but don't want to sound like a know it all or expert lol.

I'm not on FB, so I didn't vote in the poll. I'd like to think I'm the "funny" mom like on Twitter, HB, etc. but I don't know! I think it's harder to judge ourselves to ourselves. I'd love to ask how fellow Bees perceive me (good or bad), but I don't know if I "stand out" enough on here to have anyone form an opinion of me, ha ha.

Agree with @mrsrain: i'd be the unsolicited advice mom. But in my mom group, they're always asking me for advice b/c they know i've already researched everything. so...kind of annoying but comes from a good place.

I don't really know what kind of mom I am on Facebook. I post a lot of pictures, so maybe an "oversharer." But only for photos. In real life, I am probably the one-upper. I tend to talk about my LO a lot during convos with other moms. I try to catch myself because I know it is really selfish. But, my parenting style is really relaxed. I don't freak out about little things.

@2littlepumpkins: Right?!?

I'm a bit of each one on certain days. Who hasn't judged another mom as much as we try not to? And who hasn't one-upped at least once? I breast fed for 4 months with each kid, but the one I least identify with is the natural mom. I certainly slap a bit of tylenol on it often, but I'm most certainly not relaxed. @ValentineMommy: you said it best! I think I'd describe myself as the anxious mom!

Though...none of this is on FB. I keep the crazy to myself :wink:

I'd say i'm the relaxed mom with a hint of one upper. I catch myself doing it in conversation, not meaning too and i try to stop myself! But when it comes to doctor visits/medicine/ect. i'm totally relaxed compared to some friends. I do not take my children to the doc for a cold or a fever unless it carries on or warrants it. I have a friend who's son sneezes and she's in there and it annoys me! I'm like "you are the reason i can't get a decent appointment when my kid is actually sick"

I feel like I'm relaxed about most things, except my son's schedule. Never mess with the schedule or I cut you. Don't most parents have like a pet issue that they are anal about? I feel like perfect moms just have many, many pet issues. I'm also sorta guilty of one upping but I swear it's virtually always to commiserate with another mom about something awful happening to them, not to be like "winning" or whatever.

I don't post on FB, but I think in real life I may come across as the perfect mom (in this context), even though I really feel I'm the relaxed mom. We are the only one of all of my friends to breastfeed to 1 year (although still 2 weeks shy of this goal, with no plan to stop anytime soon). LO has not caught any of mine or DH's colds or the really bad strep throat I had. I've mentioned to a few friends that I'm amazed, and then say it's probably because of the antibodies. We also cloth diaper (again the only one), and he never gets rashes, except with weird new foods like kiwis. Again, I think it's because of the CD. They both work for us, and I'm happy with the results, if that's what they are. But I don't judge anyone else for their choices. I honestly feel, "meh, to each their own," and these are both my own way of "slapping some Tylenol on it," which I also do! :wink: But I can admit that others looking in may see this all as trying to be perfect, even though I'm just doing what works for us.
