We were at my local cafe today and I got him some WCM in a straw cup. He likes it! I'll see how he does the next few days with it. I may try keeping a bottle or 2 of formula depending on his intake. I waited until our 12 month appointment the week after his birthday. Sure enough, his pediatrician said he should still get a bottle or two of formula a day since he was anemic and needed the iron. So we switched one feeding every few days. I'm not sure you can just cut out formula cold turkey without your LO being ready. WCM isn't a formula replacement, solids are. If LO has no issues with WCM, you don't need any more formula. DS didn't mind the taste or anything, but he ended up having a terrible diaper rash and diarrhea. Ped didn't think it was an issue with dairy since he was on dairy-based formula and eating cheese and yogurt regularly, so she told us to just wait a few more weeks. So we actually switched him to toddler formula for a month (it was cheaper than infant formula!) and tried again later. Not every baby can go cold turkey to WCM.
