And because it's taller so I just feel like it will be well loved for years to come. Not that the vintage one won't be played with ... I'm just saying that my 2 year old is pretty much as tall as the vintage kitchen. At the time the uptown wasn't an option when I bought ours. It has been through 2.5 years of continuous use, and now my 10 month old has joined in on the fun. I picked ours (Retro White) because it's in the front formal living room, as soon as you open the door. It's still a big piece of furniture that doesn't exactly fit our decor, but it kind of blends in to the background, if you know what I mean?
