Mine stayed in high 170s hr entire first trimester and dropped to 160s around 15 weeks.

Ultrasound definitely confirmed he's a boy. There's a reason why it's an old wives tale ;)

My second daughter's heartrate was measured at 92 at 6 weeks, which gave me a 50% chance of miscarriage. She was ok, but no, I don't believe in this stuff.

Mine had a HR of 175 at our eight-week appointment. Looking at the poll it kind of seems like higher rates are common in general, so it could go either way!

My sons was 122 at 6 weeks 6 days. At the exact same date this pregnancy was 144.

At 12 weeks my sons was around 150. This one was 170. At 16 weeks and my anatomy scan, this one was around 140. And it's a girl. So started higher but now seems lower then my sons. I think he was usually 150 ish.

I've read that there is some corrrelation btw high rate and girl later in pregnancy, but not in the first trimester. Yesterday, however, my nurse practioner guessed girl based on the 170bbm so who knows (almost 12 weeks)!

DD's was consistently in the 135-140 range, too.

My baby's heart rate has been consistently high. In the first tri it was in the 170s and now in the second and beginning of the third its in the mid-high 150s. Yesterday, one of my doctor's joked if we were sure he's a boy. If it wasn't for the ultrasound we may not be. :silly:

Her HR fluctuated so much but I know during her first reading it was definitely high. This baby refused to give up her gender. She had three more ultrasounds after her anatomy one and all four she hid between her legs.

This little guy inside of me has defied all of the old wives tales. He has a high heart rate, according to the ramzi method should be a girl and I've been craving sweets to an unreal level. But both u/s and dna test confirm it is most definitely a little boy in there!

My LO's heart rate always measured around 150, so that combined with some other symptoms made me sure it was a little boy... but at our 20 week scan we found out it's a girl, so you never know!

Was the heart rate old wives' tale true for you?

If you're not familiar with it, it says higher/faster heart rates indicate girl, lower/slower heart rates indicate boy.

My son's highest heart rate throughout the whole pregnancy was 148, maybe 150.

LO2's heart rate yesterday at 8w2d was 178! I was ready to paint the nursery pink after hearing that!
