I would have called too. I just don't understand these people setting off huge fireworks in crowded residential neighborhoods! At the same time, it's not like fireworks are quiet or discreet-- why should you have to call the police? How do they not know already and just do something about it??

I'd probably have slightly more patience with them if it weren't for the fact that my dogs FREAKS out over them, which makes them so much more annoying. But at least I never had debris falling in my yard.

The fireworks stopped, so I guess that means the police showed up & put a stop to their party!

How unsafe :(

Ugggh. Same. I haven't called the police yet but all of the debris is coming into our yard...for the third night in a row. I'm tired of picking it up the next morning!!

Good call.

I would have done the same thing. You probably saved someone's finger/hand/face in the process too! :P

Pretty sure I would've called the police too... those type of fireworks can be dangerous!

Fireworks are illegal in my neighborhood (national historic district). I'd call police in a heartbeat!

We live in a large housing plan. Lots of people are apparently still celebrating the holiday. We can hear neighbors two streets over having a party, and they're setting off fireworks. Like, real, legitimate fireworks... That are going over my neighbors (across the streets house) and into my yard.

These are the kind of fireworks you'd see at a 4th of July display, not the little puny ones you can buy on the side of the road.

It's 11 at night. These kind of fireworks are illegal in our state, not to mention the fire hazard it poses. What if they hit someone's house?

My husband called the police. Would you have done the same thing? We don't want to be party poopers but when firework shells are landing in your front yard....
