This is amazing, thanks for sharing! Thank you, Mr. Harrison and the other donors!

In my grandparents' day, families with Rh incompatibility were simply advised to not have more than one child, and those were the lucky ones who found out before they had repeat losses. It's amazing that now the issue is just a blip in a new mother's prenatal care. Somehow I never realized that they still can't synthesize the antibodies and need donors to keep the treatment available!

Love this story! When my son had his blood transfusion post heart surgery - his doctors explained he would have awesome immunity to whatever disease the adult donors had encountered. Ofcourse it wears off, but I was so grateful to whoever had donated.

I usually jump on my laptop in the morning with my cup of tea before getting stuck into my to-do list... every day crappy news stories, politics, dreary stuff. today this gentleman made me smile and I had happy tears :D I adore the cartoon of the stork and baby and my harrison's golden arm! so often we just think, oh medicine, made in a lab after lots of scientific research, made by mostly faceless but hard working people. this guy puts a face and a heart to a life saving medication, and to think he has been donating every week for decades!

Oh wow! Very special. I wonder who’s the American Mr. Harrison equivalent?

I woke up this morning to read this beautiful article about an Australian man whose blood was used to create Anti-D, and has been donating for over 60 years. Every dose of Anti-D in Australia contains his blood, so I can personally thank him for helping keep my babies safe :D This man needs the highest award in the land!
