We considered it when we found out our lo was a sweaty baby but ended up just suffering through. She survived. :)

@Sorrycharlie @Emsmems I think you all sealed the deal for me, I think I'm going to order one and try it out. My husband said "$50 for a rubber tube, really?" LOL. But, if it works I think it's worth it.

I have one and love it! It looks silly and is kind of obnoxious looking, but it works great! My LO is 18 months, rear facing in a Chicco Nextfit in a RAV4 with no rear vents. He would come out of the car seat so so sweaty before the Noggle! It's nice even when it's not super hot but just stuffy, keeps the air blowing on/past him.

I'm thinking of getting one of these when we move to Texas in a few weeks! I'm going to see how it goes. I've also heard putting a white towel over the car seat helps reflect the heat away. The air in the car would still be hot of course but the car seat itself wouldn't be dangerously hot for LO.

They come highly recommended by car seat techs! Thankfully our new car has independent climat control in the back and vents right above each outboard position so both our rear facers will have fresh air. If we hadn't bought the car I would totally have tried it because my LO was often sweaty in the car last summer.

I do have one! I got it second hand. It's ugly and my Mom calls it snuffy (Sesame Street?). It works though! I aim it at my rear facing infant, since my toddler gets the benefit of the vents somewhat, since she faces forward

I have a 2001 Toyota Highlander with no rear vents - and park on street (my home is above street level) so letting my car cool down isn't an option. Boo.

Sorrycharlie has one! I think it's super cool but for now I face my vents upward so the cool air travels back there.

I never heard of this but I think this is so cool!! I live in TX and it's super hot and humid (like FL). I always feel bad putting the kids in the car when it's hot, but they seem to do ok.

For the most part, you probably will be having your baby in the carrier when they are tiny, which you can bring inside with you (and therefore keep cool until your A/C gets going.

Has anyone ever heard of this or have one? Looks like it's basically a flexible tube that you attach to your a/c vent in the front of the car and then run it back to the backseat so the rearfacing child can get A/C.

http://www.nogglenation.com/

DS is due in August. We live in south Florida and I am getting really worried about how HOT it is in our cars and how uncomfortable he is going to be rear-facing. I drive a Civic and I don't have any air vents in my backseat, so he's going to be getting pretty much no AC. At 33 weeks pregnant I'm miserable, so I can't imagine putting a tiny baby in that weather. And it's a year-round problem here (although certainly worse this time of year).

I know at home I can run the a/c in the car for a while, then put him in, but it's going to still be brutal if we have to get in the car after it's been sitting in a hot parking lot (like after leaving the doctor's or something).

I have been googling about the Noggle and it sounds pretty good. Car Seats for the Littles seems to be okay with it as a minimal risk (that was my primary concern - not safe as a possible projectile in a crash).

Does anyone have any experience with this thing? It seems a little pricey for what it is ($50) but I'm thinking about buying them for my car and DH's car.
