Yeah, I handle our finances not because he's bad at it but because I'm very, very good at organizing! He's better at cleaning the house, so it evens out ;)

I do a lot for DH too...I pretty much keep him organized. Pay all his (our) bills, make sure he makes appts, etc...but I'm pretty anal and need things done on time, so I know he would EVENTUALLY do it, but since I like things done asap, I just get it done.

@artbee I know the feelings are mutual for him, that's why he is now handling our finances. DH had years of accounting classes and jobs so he would ask me questions I just didn't know the answers to and the way I did it was "more complicated". There are just somethings that our spouses are better at managing then we are. It's accepting that & relinquishing the control that is the hard part (at least it is for me). So I have just accepted the fact that I will always be his medical secretary.

DH totally does this for me. All of that stuff stresses me out and gives me migraines. Especially going to pick up my meds because there's always something wrong and I'm known to end up in tears. And he likes to go to important doctor apts with me because he says I never ask the right questions or remember what the doctor told me.

Seriously, the stuff I do for my DH. One might call it enabling. I call it getting sh*t done & getting it done RIGHT! :-)

Anyone else feel this way?

DH is HORRIBLE with handling his own medical bills, claims & insurance. I even go to the DR. with him to make sure he doesn't miss something. I let him deal with for a few months to stop "enabling" him and now I am picking up the pieces. Somethings the wife just needs to do, I'm learning this lol.
