The soy protein is very similar to the milk protein. My son was allergic to soy and intolerant to milk. I second another milk to try.

@LuLu Mom: From what I've read, it sounds like intolerance/sensitivities differ in ways from allergies? I'm far from an expert, so will just link to this article and hope that it's accurate!

@mrbee: I could try hemp milk, she didn't test positive for a soy allergy so I thought we would be in the clear. I'm hoping it's her system just getting used to the milk and no another thing we need to keep an eye on.

@LuLu Mom: Could it be a soy sensitivity? Maybe you could try hemp milk instead and see if that helps at all...

We have started switching E's bottles to 1/4 soy milk, 3/4 formula and have been doing this for about 5 days now. Starting on Saturday morning, she has had diarrhea and it's continued. Is this a side effect of introducing soy milk? I have heard of kids becoming constipated during the transition but not the opposite. Her little bottom is so sore it breaks my heart, I don't know if I should pull the milk and try something else or let it run its course for another day or two? Any help or insight would be great!
