@blackbird: my kid will only watch Daniel Tiger. Watch. Daniel. Watch. Daniel. Repeat. We were traveling this week and I let her watch it when she woke up at five am, then every morning she woke up and would start shouting for it immediately. At 5. I guess at least I don't have to worry about her deciding what she wants to watch.

Mine is exactly the same age and I have exactly the same fight every single morning only she alternates between ba ba black sheep, wheels on the bus, and those playdoh eggs that fingers unwrap with toys inside. I am trying to read the news and drink my coffee, but every 5 seconds there's screams of "BUS" "BA BA" "EGG" and so forth. I have no solution.

We have a bit of this too. I usually give her the choice of the two again or say I can take them away. If she's still wailing I take them away and wait for the following tantrum -which I ignore - to finish. The twos are awesome! Ha!

We have similar battles. I usually just say " You can pick one of these or you can watch nothing/play with neither". It's a tough phase!

We have a little of this too. I have no answer. Our biggest battle most days is getting dressed. I offer her two outfits. She picks one (or walks to her drawer and chooses another one, whatever). I go to put it on and the thrashing starts. I try to reason with her- you picked this one. You like this shirt. Sometimes I can convince her and sometimes I start to lose it until Dh steps in and I have to leave the room. It's so frustrating.

Oh god, I don't know how to handle this. E has reached that total asshole stage. She's 22.5 months and terrible 2s are in full force. Everything I do is wrong - she whined and wailed all day yesterday.

We usually let her watch nursery rhyme videos on youtube in the morning while we drink our coffee but recently every video we put on is greeted with a mini tantrum, "noooo! Humpty", so you put Humpty Dumpty on and she screams "nooo! Wheels on the bus!" and throws herself to the floor. So on and so forth until I lose the will to live.

She's like this with activities (when she's inside she screams for outside but lasts 2 minutes before she's screaming for inside again), toys.... everything. I've tried giving her a choice of two (toys, tops) but she will want neither and throw a fit. I've tried giving her every toy at once but she just throws a few, collapses in the middle and has a tantrum!

Help please  . Tips, advice, commiseration - all welcome! Or just tell me this bit doesn't last long.... please!
