I'm another not so great of a person at consuming the required amounts of water. However, I noticed that I do tend to drink more if it's from a bottle and it's room temp. Or if I'm eating, I also drink quite a bit.

3rd the Crystal Light!! I hate drinking plain water (not that it tastes bad or anything, I just get really bored) so I'm a huge consumer of Crystal Light. My current favorites are Raspberry Lemonade and Fruit Punch.

Also, when I use a special water bottle with a straw type thing (like a Camelbak) I tend to drink more, and quickly.

I've always had a hard time with water. The only thing that's helped is bringing in multiple bottled drinks (mostly water) to work every day and keep track of my water intake that way.

@MsLipGloss: Yup - Crystal Light really helped me when I was just so sick of water (usually around 2pm at work). I'd pour one of those single servings into my water bottle and 5 minutes later it would be all gone. Quickest 20 oz of water drinking ever!

I try to make sure I drink enough water in the morning that I have to fill my water bottle 2-3 times before lunch, then another 2 times before I leave for the day.

I have a water bottle that includes an intake meter on the top (band numbered 1-6 that you advance each time you fill up). It is 20oz by top measure but I always fill it to the brim. I aim for 4 a day because with my water-dense foods that usually gives me enough.

I have a hard time with this too so I try to get most of my water intake while at work. I fill up my nalgene and try to drink at least 1.5 if not two of them during the day (32 oz each). I also drink a lot of peppermint tea and some crystal light to make it taste better.

I do the same thing with a Tervis Tumbler that I put a top and straw onto. The straw seems to help me drink more. @chopsuey119 - ditto!

I have a Venti insulated cup from starbucks that I would take to work. I filled it up at 6-8 days throughout the day. A venti is 20 ounces!
I don't know what it is, but I always drink more when I drink from a straw.

Thinking about butterbean not having enough water to swim around in, sort of like having a wading pool but no deep end. :D That, and keeping pre-term contractions at bay, and promoting skin health (makes ya look purty!), too.

I am wondering how my water-drinking habits stack up to others out there. I

was never been a great water drinker, even pre-pregnancy, and find that I am worrying a lot about my intake. While I do have milk in my cereal, an 8-ounce glass of calcium-enriched OJ in the morning, and plenty of water-dense foods (this week I have been on a watermelon kick!), I only tend to get about 50 oz of water in on top of that, if that. I know that's not quite enough and need to focus on increasing this.

What helps you to get your water in?
