We ended up using target diapers and they're awesome! I call it the clean diaper trick. She will will not poop in her wet diaper, and as soon as a put a new dry one on her she poops! I even had to google it to make sure i wasn't imagining it. Apparently some babies are like that. She is 13 wks old and i just had to accept that she prefers to poop in a dry diaper. I was an awkward poopy diaper changer, it was so messy and the explosive ones stressed me out sometimes (poop would get on the mat & required a change of clothing too). I swear a quarter of the diapers never even madeir on because she would poop or pee before we could and we'd have to start over. She is 2 weeks and we end up changing her at least twice every feeding cycle. I feel like I do nothing but change the kiddo's diapers all day. Doesn't help that LO screams bloody murder the second his diaper is soiled or that he really seems to enjoy a nice clean diaper to poop in. DH and I both HATE letting him sit in anything either compounding the issue. Is this normal or is the kiddo popping us into the poor house? :happy: As a side note we would like to try a cheaper brand but have already been burned on a box of huggies. LO blew out of EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. We thought about trying Targets brand but were too gun shy after the huggies incident. LO has a thin bottom and needs a closer fitting diaper like pampers. Anyone know how the Target brand fit compares?
