It has a backlight, which I really like, and it displays the last temp for a while so it's easy to read and record it later. It does beep every 4 seconds while you are taking the temp to let you know it's working, which is a little annoying, but the backlight feature makes up for it for me.<br /> If this is your first cycle TTC, though, honestly, I think starting to temp right now might be stressful. In your situation I might go a month or two before starting to temp. But you are also supposed to temp before you even sit up in bed, and you should be at rest for at least three hours. So if I wake up to pee at 4am one day, and then 5am to pee the next day it was really tough for me to get a consistent resting temp. And worrying about it just stressed me out and made me lose sleep. But temping didn't work for me (I wake up to pee during the night and it just created a lot of stress for me trying to find a consistent time that I could get a resting temp) so I can't really say if I thought it was good or not.
