Yes, the beeping was a little annoying, but I found the place to muffle it with my thumb too. What I liked was the easy to read, back lit display-- I had a Target brand one that flashed the last temp so quickly I missed it sometimes, which was SO annoying. If the beeping bothers you, I would recommend the CVS brand! It only beeps when it's finished and I love it. Everyone is different though! The only downside to glass is that its much harder to read, and the lights need to be on. I think mine is Nexcare (it's pink). Some people don't like that it beeps a lot, but I've found where I can cover the back with my thumb to muffle the sound. Just make sure to stick to one brand b/c each thermometer can vary. Does it matter? I was just ordering my TCOYF and it comes with OPKs, pregnancy tests and a BBT. The brand is Nexcare. I hope that it works well for us, I'm super excited to start charting! </p>
