It was frustrating and I'd end up having to turn on a light to see my temp right away instead of going back to sleep and looking at it later. </p> <p>Now I use the Nexcare one, which beeps every 4 seconds but has a backlight. Like @Rachel: I put my thumb over the speaker so it's pretty quiet and I turn away from my husband so it's a little muffled in the pillow. It does beep when it's done, but I take my temp in the dark as well, so I like that it does that. I usually just throw a blanket over my head so that it's not as loud for Hubs. Its not the best but it works. Does anyone have any suggestions for thermometers (or ones to avoid)? I would prefer one that doesn't beep as its taking my temperature (because I don't want to disturb DH) and also one that displays the last temp taken so I can fall back asleep on the weekends and not have to worry about recording the temp immediately.
