They promoted someone to manager and she's making lots of changes very quickly. I do have the same position but she now has me doing the computer stuff a lot when it was just occasionally before. The girl I trained to cover for me tried telling me I didn't need to go to meetings and wanted to keep all my work. And one of my first tasks when I got back was to write a request to keep her on our team full time, loved doing that. Yes I had a job and was paid the same but I certainly did not feel welcomed back after having an awesome reputation there for 3 years. My H actually complained about this happening to a lot of women at his old job -- they have "a" job to come back to, but a lot of their duties were given away so they didn't have as much to do or as much responsibility. He was pretty pissed about that because it's so unfair! I would have a talk with your supervisor and say you would like to either get the same task back, or take on one of an equal level of responsibility. They changed my title (not my pay) and took away my phone extension. I remember how much it sucked having to worry about that on top of the other new-baby-working-mom worries. I get one every year after my anniversary date. My position title hasn't changed. We all kind of have the same title though. Most people have their own job duties and such. I came back to work this week and was informed by a co-worker that it's no longer my job. They gave it to the girl I trained to do it while I was on leave. My boss didn't tell me until 3 days after I found out. The reasoning is that my job was changed to be in another department. The rest of my job stayed the same and they have not given me another job that is similar to what they gave away. All I got was "I'm sure you will find another role in the pharmacy". </p> <p>Man I really looked like an idiot when I was told it's not my job anymore. I think I must have been the last to know. My boss is aggravated that the person told me before her. She said she waiting a week to tell me. I have never felt so betrayed and lied to in my life. </p>
