You know I never heard of American Girl until I moved to the south! I was actually thinking of taking DD to the store to check out the dolls when she's a little older.. we'll see!

LOL didn't know they had an American Girl hospital. I had Molly. My mom has her tucked away at her house until her granddaughter is old enough.

I never had the doll but had all of the books! I wish I would have kept them, my mom looked for them and said she must have donated them. I'm going to start getting a book set her and there for LO! And she will get an AG doll if she wants one since I never got one!

Addy was my favorite too! I was never lucky enough to get a doll though. I wish I had kept my books - I can't believe I got rid of them :'(

Awww! I wish I'd had an American Girl doll to pass on, but I never got one. I'm very excited to take her to the American Girl store when she's older.

My barbies had plenty of experimental hair/body treatments done to them as well. They are mostly bald, and some of them have tribal tattoos on them. To this day, my dad says that Barbies are afraid to live in their house.

Aw!! I had Addy too, she was my fav! I think mine is still in good shape, although I haven't looked at her in probably 15+ years. I guess next time I'm at my parents house I should dig her out! I wonder where I put the books.... :/

I had the Addy American Girl doll growing up and I was very excited to pass it down to my little girl. I did perform some interesting beauty treatments on her over the years, though, so we sent her off to the American Girl doll hospital for a "check-up."

Well, they called yesterday and they can't fix her hair. They said it's too matted! I can't imagine how applying elixirs made of perfume and hand lotion would do that! ;) So they are giving her a new head... kind of creepy! And a little sad. It's kind of like only half of the doll I had!
