OMG! I can relate and it's so gross yet heartbreaking to hear! The pedi told us to have DS sleep sitting up or elevate his mattress so that his head is higher than his feet. This seemed to help limit the drainage from flowing backwards and getting stuck back there. Every morning, when I'm changing his diaper, I put some saline solution in his nostrils, change his diaper, clothes, etc. to allow the saline solution to drain back and soften everything up then keep him upright for about 10 minutes. He always sneezes and all the thick mucous comes forward so I can easily suction it out. I can always still hear some congestion afterwards, but I can tell whatever I did get out really helps relieve the pressure he was feeling.

What do you do when steam bath, saline spray and drops, bulb, and Nose Frida don't work? Oh, and we always use a humidifier. Ks been having nasal congestion for days. It seems to affect her while BFing and trying to sleep. It sounds so thick and clogged. Tonight I could barely get her to bf for a couple minutes. No amount of snot sucking could get it out. Sounds really thick and high up there. :(. Poor girl. Sleeps and feeds with kind of snorting sounds.
