@LuLu Mom: I totally agree with the fear of unknowing with the first. Now that I had my "Hey everyone...I'm in labor and heading to the hospital" moment, I am also looking forward to the next one being scheduled!

@2PeasinaPod: I seriously am looking forward to my next one, go in at a scheduled time, and have a baby 30 minutes later! I can handle that, it was the unknown that scared me the most last time I think! After all my hardwork and having to have surgery anyway. I love that I'm not the only one disobeying orders :)

@.twist.: Hah...that so aptly describes it!

@LovelyPlum: Sorry you're going through the same thing! I think once I got to 24 weeks, I started believing that this would actually happen and he would be ok!

@LuLu Mom: Yes to how quickly I bounced back after the C-section! I was dreading the emergency C, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I envisioned it being. And I also broke the rules and went into the NICU to see LO shortly after he was born as well. I underestimated myself!

I didn't realize that your boobs could start leaking as soon as like 14 weeks (mine started at 16).

That no matter how many kegels you do you could randomly pee yourself a little towards the end...especially if your little one isuusing your bladder as a trampoline

That your water might break without gushing out of you. I knew it might not break at all but i had no idea you might just start leaking and think you're peeing yourself.

1. that constipation would be worse than throwing up
2. that I would lose absolutely all energy the first trimester.
3. I could not stay up past 11 to save my life anymore, 10 was usually a stretch.
4. swelling...I did not realize my ankles could get that big.
5. how much I ate deli meat before pregnancy (I didn't give it up but cut back.)
6. That my butt would hurt when having contractions, I felt it all in my back/butt...and did 2 days after.
7. how gross having your water break felt, I had a lot of fluid...I hate the feeling (broken at hospital for me.)
8. I was surprised how quickly I was able to bounce back from my c-section.
9. How assertive I could become when my child was involved -- i.e. disobeying doctor's orders to go down to the NICU to see my child before I was ready to walk. I made my DH roll me down there as soon as my catheter was out, I broke rules...I never break rules.

I never knew how scary sneezing could be. The pollen is really bad this year where I live, and I am sneezing all the time. I dread it. I never know if it will bring the I-just-got-stabbed-in-the-stomach round ligament pain orrr....I'll pee myself a little. Great.

I also wanted NO SEX ever for a good long while. Now I want sex but it is THE MOST AWKWARD THING EVER. Nothing like getting things going to be distracted by a baby kick. Or the onslaught of sudden heartburn.

I always though pregnancy would be cute belly and good feelings all around. HA! It's hard and I'm shocked when I see myself in the mirror.

"No thank you penis" made me LOL.

Yes to the "nervous peeing"!!! OMG the first tri I was a WRECK every time I'd have to pee, scared that I'd see red.

And yes - Lightning crotch kills me!!! I never knew about that either! And I was convinced that my skin was busting open last week during a growth spurt. I kept slathering on lotion to "stop it" from busting. HA.

Ohhh lightening crotch... that term is so appropriate!

I didn't realize there was a whole new kind of pain associated with contractions. It's indescribable.

How much your belly can actually stretch without just bursting open.

Rib pain!

That 2 cells can make a baby. Unbelievable.

I didn't realize you could bleed/spot throughout pregnancy without something being "wrong"

I didn't realize you could have braxton hicks contractions starting in the second trimester

I didn't realize what constipation "really" was.

I didn't realize lightening crotch was a thing. Ouch.

I didn't realize how easy it would be to leak pee after laughing, coughing, walking, bending...

I didn't realize how CRAZY active babies in utero are, and how visible their movements are from the outside!

-amen on the no thank you penis. Didn't expect my poor sex drive to run away screaming when I got my BFP :p
-that I would gain most of my weight in places other than my stomach.... I was totally expecting a giant, adorable belly. Uhh let's try flabby wings, huge expanding hips, and giant booty. Siiighhh

This is why I love HB: I learn so much!!

I was only pregnant for a very short while twice, but I didn't realize how much hair I would lose! Gobs and gobs of it. I also didn't realize how long the tww would feel like. And I had no idea that I would be nervous every time I had to pee during the first tri for fear of seeing blood. Or how nerve-wracking it would be to wait for blood work.

@2PeasinaPod: I hear you on the BFP. Next time, I have a feeling that a positive will bring worry more than anything...

@deerylou: heck yes on the snot. Sometimes, I'm just like "Sorry honey, but I REALLY have to pick my nose." Kleenex just won't cut it.

I didn't realize how crippling SI joint pain/sciatica could be. I hobble like an old lady.

After losing that pregnancy and another, my 3rd BFP was me putting off peeing on a stick as long as possible as to not get my hopes up too early. Then consisted of a very worry filled 9 months!

@deerylou: 'No thank you, penis.' - I'm dying here. hahaha! @rahlyrah: I'm cracking up over confusing labor pains and poo pains. Yep. Been there.

I didn't realize all the random weird stuff my body would do...Like my hands going numb at night, swelling, not being able to roll over in bed, my hips coming out of joint, my pelvis popping out. I got wicked hip and pelvis dysplasia that had to be controlled by 4 visits a week at the physical therapist for about 3 months of my pregnancy. Oh, and constipation! Why did no one tell me I wouldn't be able to go normally for three months straight?!

I didn't know most of the stuff in TCOYF. That was an eye-opener!

I didn't know that if you find out you are pregnant at 14 dpo that you are considered 4 weeks pregnant.
