Some other fun things to do might be Selby Gardens - gorgeous botanical gardens on the water with a great children’s treehouse style play area. Also Mote Marine is a fantastic aquarium and offers educational boat tours on the bay.<br /> My husband and I are from Sarasota and love taking our daughter home to visit family and enjoy all there is to do with kids. We have Big Cat Habitat with rescued lions, tigers, bears and a liger. They also have goats and birds and some other random animals. Pretty cool. The children's secret garden, its downtown, its is like a little kids fairy land, super cute and my kids love it. Jungle gardens to see birds and a few reptiles, kids enjoy it's but I think it's a little boring. Feeding the flamingos is the best part imo. There is a splash pad down at the marina with a park too. Our Y has a small water park, it's great! Limited hours but really great for the littles. Siesta key has a pretty awesome play ground. Trying to think of other stuff. If I do I will update. I know we'll spend some time in her pool and want to go to the beach but looking for some other suggestions for fun things to do with kids. We'll be there for father's day and for my little's 3rd birthday if you have any suggestions on how to make those days special, that would be great! My boys are 5.5 and 3. They love animals. We don't want to do Busch Garden as my little is very afraid of rides. He also isn't a huge fan of boats. Thanks! </p>
