I got alot of "Your baby looks cold/hot" comments too. Which always annoyed me.

Oh, I think the most annoying comment was from a family member (on my DH's side) who kept reminding me EVERY time I'd see her. "Make sure you don't violently shake the baby.". WTF? Why would I do that??? And why do you keep bringing that up? That one really made me mad because it made me feel like she thought I would be some sort of unfit mother. GRRRRR...

After reading these, I have a feeling that I will be laughing at or giving the death glare to (depending on my mood!) a lot of people when our baby is born.

my daughter had bad allergies so her eyes were very red once when we were at gymboree shopping. the sales lady said, "oh wow, she looks so sick. she has a fever. you need to take her home and give her tylenol." WTH?! she wasn't feverish, i was minding my own business, and i didn't even know this lady at all ... leave us alone!

My MIL came in the nursery once while I was nursing my 2 month old son at 2 in the morning to say that I need to give him formula because I'm not producing enough milk. She said he should not be waking up in the middle of the night at that age. By 3 months of age, she kept pushing us to feed him baby food. This went on until 6 months when we finally started him on solids. And the list goes on, so I feel ya. Don't worry, after a while, the comments won't phase you as much.

I am not looking forward to unwanted comments and advice. The lady that I work on the counter with has something to say about everything. Oh and I have already heard about how bad soothers are for kids and other crap that she has to say about people that are prego/with children. She knows everything I tell ya!

Wow.
My (male) dentist told me that I needed to get my EBF baby on the bottle while I was getting a root canal.
I told him I needed to get home by X time since I was boob feeding. Jerk. -.-

You should put more clothes on her, she's cold. (From a stranger)
When I had mine (coming from a childless single man) I put a onesie under her shirts so she'd stay warm.
She's eating to much, she's not hungry anymore. (Get that all the time from my Grandma )

It never ends! I was in Bed Bath and Beyond last weekend and someone told me my toddler should not be in the picture frame section. Why?? Because she can break something? People are crazy. Try your best to ignore them!

ugh! i was told by a lady in babies r us, whose two kids were hanging out of the cart and running wild, that my baby was cold and not wearing a hat would give him colic.

once in the airplane when my baby was crying a woman got out of her seat and came up to me and told me he needed a bottle for his ears. hello, i was holding a bottle and trying force it into his mouth!

Ooooooooooooh yeah.
"She's cold. Why is she cold?"
"She's crying too much. Stop making her cry."
"Why does she cry so much?"
*While I was breastfeeding* "Oh, is that how you shut her up?"
Etc. etc.

I definitely understand.

I've been getting a TON of unsolicited advice/opinions on why baby Z is the way she is, doing what she does, what I'm doing wrong, etc....
Here are the top things that made me want to punch faces.

I took the baby from my MIL and she stopped crying, to which my MIL said about me, "more cushion".
(WTF!? this was a few days after I had the baby)

She also said my milk looks too thick.
(this is not even a possible thing)

I've also been told by others that the baby looks thirsty and I should give her water.

(via Skype) Baby looks hungry

Your baby looks hot, that's why she's crying

You're not producing good milk.
(I don't even know what that means)

Something must be wrong with my 3-week old, bc she's crying.
(How about she's crying, bc she is only 3-weeks old!?)

Anything bug the crap out of you?
