I want to say weight gain/wanting to feed them all the time as babies, but we still struggle with my oldest's weight and not eating enough. I am so much more relaxed with LO2 & LO3 but they also are not struggling with it. So I wonder if it would have been different with LO1 if I had approached it less neurotically or if it would have been a struggle anyway.

Ohhhhh like everything! In one sense, we are super laid back parents. But I feel like I freak out about things like behavior, manners, etc. I am a super freak about leaving the house with a newborn until they are around 8-12 weeks old. I am so anxious about it and I also HATE the postpartum period so I always feel awkward being out of the house during that time! Sometimes I wish I could be that mom that is out of the house with a 4 week old wearing skinny jeans and sipping starbucks at Target, but I just can't!

@erinbaderin: yes, I wish I had realized how much more flexible/portable he was as an infant and we had ventured out more and traveled.

Her naps/bedtime
I am pretty flexible with the nap these days, but still try to stick to her bedtime. She is also pretty routine!
We were at a Christmas event last weekend and at 6:50 she was asking to go home because she was tired :)

Breastfeeding.
I went to great lengths to keep my supply up, giving up my sanity and sleep, taking supplements, pumping around the clock. Many, many tears, feeling like a failure because it was easy or natural to me.
Went back to work full time at 7 weeks postpartum and was a zombie around the clock.
Also, losing the baby weight. I was back in regular clothes by the time I went back to work because I really pressured myself.

Looking back, that all seems CRAZY, I would have supplemented more with formula and given myself a break.

@erinbaderin: gah. I'm the same way about about travel. What really sucks is where we live, everywhere is about 30 minutes away. Another reason we rarely left when DD1 was little

@Mrs. Sunshine: I like being a stickler for sleep, lol! DD is 2 and I'm still pretty strict about nap/bed time!

I think I was a little overboard with combo feeding. I was sooo stressed out those first few days when my milk hadn't come in yet. Did she get out enough colostrum? Should we give her formula? How much?

Food intolerances. LO had MSPI but even after eliminating dairy/soy she still had some issues and I elminated SO MANY FOODS. In retrospect, she was not an unhappy baby and I should have just stuck to the dairy/soy instead of making myself miserable.

So, so much. Postpartum anxiety is a bitch.

If I had to pick one, it was my paranoia of leaving one of the kids in a hot car. I still religiously text my husband and he texts me when we drop the boys off. I also put my bags in the backseat and have the child reminder set on my Waze app. It's borderline obsessive, but I'm so forgetful and sleep deprived that I'm really afraid it's going to happen. I'm working on getting over it.

Traveling. Every time I go more than about half an hour away from home I get stressed about it, and it's always fine.

SIDS caused me a lot of anxiety. T is a tummy sleeper and always has been.

Sleep is important for sure but I could have been less obsessive about it. I almost never left the house in DD's first year because I was such a stickler for sleep. I wouldn't even let her be a few minutes late to a nap or bed time. Life would have been a lot easier for everyone if I had chilled out a little!
