I get so overwhelmed with no sleep, breastfeeding and crying babies in general. I'm trying to remind myself that the first year is short in the grand scheme of things. The biggest drawback for me is the sleeplessness.....my kids are pretty awful sleepers as babies, so the first year is pretty tough for me in terms of sleep deprivation (and caring for 3 children while wicked exhausted is no joke!). But then I got "surprise" pregnant, lost it, and we realized we weren't done. I have difficult pregnancies and our second was such a horrendous sleeper for the first year. And just getting back into my career after a few years off. But ultimately we figure it's short term pain for long term gain ;). I just found out I'm pregnant again and hoping it sticks. I always secretly wanted a 3rd because I love being pregnant. Low and behold we found out I am already 16 weeks pregnant with our 3rd and I had no idea. I cried, I was scared because it was a shock and I was thinking I'd never have another and now that it's set in, I am so excited for my boys to be big brothers.</p> <p>If you are considering it and can't settle thinking that maybe 2 is fine, then why not go for the 3rd? Just make sure you are prepared mentally for handling 3..it'll be tough! But yet again noone ever said parenting any number is easy. My current thinking:</p> <p>The positives:<br /> - I feel like we're not complete yet, there's someone missing<br /> - Lucy asks about another baby all the time, it would be so fun to see her as a big sister again now that she's old enough to understand. And Rose... Who knows what that wild child will do! :)</p> <p>The negatives:<br /> - I HATE being pregnant. Pregnancies for me are so tough.<br /> - Breastfeeding is so stressful, especially having had two kids where I've had to eliminate lots of food from my diet<br /> - feel like I'm just getting my body back and getting fit</p> <p>I feel like the positives out way the negatives but still, a lot to think about! We've got big changes coming up too with my husband's job, possibly buying a home...
